Role overview

The Video Editor shapes footage into work that holds attention. The role runs from assembly through fine cut and delivery, across music video, brand film, and short-form social.

About the role

You work closely with directors and producers on pacing, structure, and tone, and you deliver a master alongside the platform cuts in the same pass rather than reformatting afterwards.

Key responsibilities

  • Edit from assembly through to delivered master

  • Produce vertical and short-form cuts alongside the main edit

  • Work with colour and sound to finish the piece

  • Hold pacing and structure across long and short forms

  • Manage media and keep projects archivable

  • Deliver to each platform's specification

Required experience

  • Strong edit reel across music, brand, or campaign work

  • Fluency in a professional edit suite and basic grading

  • Understanding of platform formats and their demands

  • Reliability under release pressure

  • Comfort taking notes remotely

Working environment

This role is remote. Work is structured around focus and collaboration, with time allocated for review, discussion, and reflection. The pace is steady rather than reactive, allowing space for ideas to mature before resolution.

Compensation and approach

Compensation is aligned with experience and responsibility. The studio prioritises long-term sustainability, clarity of expectations, and working conditions that support thoughtful practice.

Closing note

This role suits people who value process as much as outcome. If your approach is grounded in patience, attention, and collaboration, there is space here to work with intent and care.
