Role overview

The Motion Designer gives brand systems movement. The role covers release visuals, campaign cutdowns, and the small pieces of motion that make an identity feel alive on a feed.

About the role

You take static systems and decide how they behave, working from existing guidelines rather than inventing a new language each time. Projects run from music and culture work through to commercial brand film.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and animate release and campaign assets

  • Build motion rules that extend an existing identity

  • Produce platform cutdowns without recutting from scratch

  • Work with editors on grade, pacing, and sound

  • Deliver files ready for each placement

  • Keep project files organised for handover

Required experience

  • Strong motion portfolio across brand and music work

  • Fluency in After Effects and a modern edit suite

  • Understanding of how identity systems translate to motion

  • Reliability against release dates

  • Comfort taking direction remotely

Working environment

This role is remote. Work is structured around focus and collaboration, with time allocated for review, discussion, and reflection. The pace is steady rather than reactive, allowing space for ideas to mature before resolution.

Compensation and approach

Compensation is aligned with experience and responsibility. The studio prioritises long-term sustainability, clarity of expectations, and working conditions that support thoughtful practice.

Closing note

This role suits people who value process as much as outcome. If your approach is grounded in patience, attention, and collaboration, there is space here to work with intent and care.
