Role overview

The Brand Designer builds identity systems that hold together across every surface a brand touches. The role sits between strategy and craft, taking positioning into marks, type, and colour that still work at icon size and at billboard scale.

About the role

You work closely with the brand and content leads to define visual language, then carry it through logo suites, guidelines, packaging, and collateral. You are involved early, before the first artboard opens, and stay present while the system meets the real world.

Key responsibilities

  • Design identity systems from mark through to full guidelines

  • Build responsive logo suites and typographic pairings

  • Extend systems into packaging, print, and social templates

  • Review applied work for consistency against the system

  • Work alongside strategy so design answers positioning

  • Keep the design library organised and usable by others

Required experience

  • Demonstrated experience building brand identity systems

  • Strong typographic judgement and drawing skill

  • Comfort designing for both digital and physical output

  • Ability to explain decisions without defending them

  • Clear communication across time zones

Working environment

This role is remote. Work is structured around focus and collaboration, with time allocated for review, discussion, and reflection. The pace is steady rather than reactive, allowing space for ideas to mature before resolution.

Compensation and approach

Compensation is aligned with experience and responsibility. The studio prioritises long-term sustainability, clarity of expectations, and working conditions that support thoughtful practice.

Closing note

This role suits people who value process as much as outcome. If your approach is grounded in patience, attention, and collaboration, there is space here to work with intent and care.
